What is the meaning of the word "Yoga" ?
==> "Yoga" is a word in sanskrit language which means "Unite" or "Union".

So in short, Yoga is meant for the union of "Mind" and "Body". It not only helps a person to be flexible but also helps to balance the mental tranquility.

There are various postures of doing Yoga called "Asana" in Sanskrit/Hindi or "Pose" in english.Most of the asanas are inspired from the nature around us like animals (Cobra Pose - Bhujangasana), trees (Tree Pose - Vrksasana) and the daily instruments (Plough Pose - Halasana). So it`s really close to nature and hence logical.

The spinal column becomes elastic and its functioning improves. There is pressure on the digestive organs and the belly gets stretched, which promotes their functioning.
